Preparing for professional headshots should feel simple and stress free. Many clients tell me they feel unsure about what to wear or how the session will go, but the process is actually very straightforward.

Bring a Few Clothing Options
One of the easiest ways to prepare for your session is to bring a few clothing options. Even if we only use one or two looks, having choices allows us to pick what photographs best once you arrive.
Simple colours and well fitting clothing usually photograph beautifully. Layers such as jackets scarves or sweaters can also create variety without needing a full outfit change.
Don’t Worry About Posing
Many people feel nervous about posing, but you do not need to worry about that before your session.
I guide every step of the process and show you exactly how to position yourself. Small adjustments make a big difference and help create images that feel natural and confident.
Come Ready to Relax
The best headshots happen when people relax and let their personality come through. I tend to keep sessions conversational and easy going so clients settle in quickly.
Most people tell me they forget they were nervous within the first few minutes.
