There is something so special about photographing sisters. The giggles, the cuddles, the little whispers and big smiles all come together in the sweetest way. As a Calgary photographer I love capturing these genuine moments, especially when we are celebrating a little one’s birthday with a cake smash and a swirl of tutus.
A sister session paired with a cake smash is the perfect way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday or any milestone year. The older sister often steps into her role so naturally, offering hugs, holding hands and sneaking in kisses between bites of cake. Those are the moments that melt my heart and create images you will treasure forever.
When the tutus come out and the cake is placed in front of your little one, the magic really begins. Frosting covered fingers, curious expressions and joyful laughter fill the studio. I guide the session gently so it feels relaxed and fun while still capturing beautiful portraits of both sisters together and individually.
